Landlord Leaders Community: PRS Political Pulse

In May, 35 members of the Landlord Leaders Community met at the Covent Garden Hotel, London, to look back on the past decade of policy in relation to the PRS and hear from policy influencers on what they want to see in the next political era.

Led by Freelance Broadcaster, Georgie Frost, an expert panel navigated questions from the audience to challenge policy in order to better serve the Private Rented Sector.

Timothy is an experienced policy and communications professional, and he’s skilled in public speaking and delivering lobbying activity across local authorities, Westminster and the devolved parliaments.

He takes the lead on advocacy and communication campaigns as well as interpreting legislation and putting it into easily digestible formats.

 

James is Head of Policy & Public Affairs at international strategic insights firm Opinium. He leads a team to convert understanding of public opinion and attitudes into actionable insights for those specifically in the public affairs space along with a range of corporate and commercial clients, commonly in the financial services and real estate sectors.

Cara joined Resolution Foundation in January 2023 to focus on housing, having previously worked at the Foundation from 2019 to 2021. Her previous roles have also included working on fiscal risks and sustainability at the Office for Budget Responsibility and in Markets & Banking at the Bank of England.

Ronnell specialises in financial services policy and advocacy. He is currently responsible for leading UK Finance’s engagement with government, regulators and other key stakeholders on buy to let mortgages, and private rented sector issues. Ronnell has previously held various roles at the Financial Ombudsman Service.
